What is ECSC
The European Cybersecurity Challenge is the annual cybersecurity championship during which teams of 10 members aged 14 to 24, representing European and some invited non-European countries, participate on-site in cybersecurity competitions (CTF - Capture The Flag) over 2 days, to determine the European champion. The event, supported by ENISA, the European Cybersecurity Agency, takes place annually in a different European country.

Our Team's Journey
Albania made its debut at the prestigious European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) in October 2024, marking a significant milestone in the country's cybersecurity journey. Each year, this highly competitive event brings together the brightest young talents from across Europe to showcase their skills, teamwork, and dedication to cybersecurity. In its inaugural participation, Albania joined the challenge in Turin, Italy, setting the foundation for future growth and stronger performances in the competition.

ECSC Albania is supported by:

The National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK) is the public institution responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and implementing the Albania’s cyber security policies. Its primary goal is to protect critical information infrastructures and ensure a secure digital environment for public institutions, businesses, and citizens. As part of its mission, AKSK is tasked with developing and executing the national cyber security strategy, as well as monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats and incidents.
The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) contributes to EU cyber policy, enhances the trustworthiness of ICT products, services and processes with cybersecurity certification schemes, cooperates with Member States and EU bodies, and helps Europe prepare for the cyber challenges of tomorrow.

The European Commission helps to shape the EU's overall strategy, proposes new EU laws and policies, monitors their implementation and manages the EU budget. It also plays a significant role in supporting international development and delivering aid.
